Who we are
FasterBlaster is a mobile game published by TeamFlow, LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use FasterBlaster, why we collect it, and what choices you have.
If you have questions, contact us at MonkeyscabStudios@gmail.com.
Who can use FasterBlaster
FasterBlaster is intended for players 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it.
What data we collect
When you play FasterBlaster, the following data is collected automatically or when you take certain actions:
- Account identifier — When you launch the game for the first time, our backend (PlayFab) creates a unique player ID associated with your device. We do not collect your real name, phone number, or address.
- Account-recovery email (optional) — If you choose to link your account so you can restore your progress on another device, you give us an email address and a password. We use them only to let you sign back in to your account. Linking is optional — the game is fully playable without it, and most players never need to.
- Display name — A short name you choose (or one auto-generated for you) that other players see in guilds and chat.
- Game progress — Levels completed, currency balances, owned upgrades, plane progression, and other save data needed to restore your game across sessions and devices.
- Guild membership — The guild you belong to, your role (member / officer / leader), and your join date.
- Chat messages — Text messages and co-op invitation cards you send in guild chat. Messages are retained for up to 6 hours and are automatically removed after that. All chat for a guild is also deleted when the guild is dissolved.
- In-app purchase and subscription receipts — When you buy a one-time pack or sign up for the Monthly Ad-Free subscription, the receipt issued by Apple or Google is sent to our backend so we can verify the purchase, grant the items, and (for the subscription) check your renewal status. We do not see or store your payment card or Apple/Google account credentials.
- Crash diagnostics — If the game crashes, we collect a crash log along with your device model and operating system version so we can fix the bug. This is processed by Unity Cloud Diagnostics on our behalf.
- Gameplay events — A small set of events such as “level started”, “level completed”, “boss defeated”, “purchase completed”, and “guild joined” — used to understand how players progress and to find bugs.
- Advertising data — When ads are shown, our ad partner collects a device-level advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), your IP address, coarse device information (model, OS, language), and whether ads were shown, viewed, or clicked. See “Advertising” below for details.
We do not collect: your real name, postal address, phone number, precise location, photos, contacts, or microphone or camera input. (An email address is collected only if you choose to link your account for recovery — see above.)
How we use your data
We use the data above to:
- Run the game, save your progress, and let you sign in across sessions and devices — and, if you linked an email, restore your account on a new device.
- Power multiplayer and guild features, including co-op missions and guild chat.
- Verify in-app purchases and grant the items you bought.
- Diagnose crashes and bugs.
- Understand how the game is played at an aggregate level so we can improve it.
- Show ads (interstitial and optional rewarded ads), as described in “Advertising” below.
We do not sell your data.
Who we share your data with
We share data only with the service providers we need to run the game:
- PlayFab (operated by Microsoft Corporation) — our backend platform. Stores your account ID, account-recovery email (if you linked one), display name, save data, guild membership, chat messages, and gameplay events on our behalf. PlayFab’s privacy practices are described at https://privacy.microsoft.com.
- Apple Inc. and Google LLC — payment processors for in-app purchases on iOS and Android respectively. They handle your payment information directly; we receive only the resulting receipt.
- Unity Technologies — provides the crash reporting service (Unity Cloud Diagnostics) used to receive crash logs from your device.
- Unity LevelPlay (Unity Technologies, including its mediation partners) — serves the ads shown in the game and receives the advertising data described under “Advertising” below.
We share your display name and chat messages with other players in your guild so that guild and chat features work. Outside your guild, your display name and gameplay are not shared.
We do not sell your data to data brokers.
Where your data is stored
The services above (PlayFab, Unity, Apple, Google) are operated primarily from servers located in the United States. If you use FasterBlaster from outside the United States — including from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Canada — your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Advertising
FasterBlaster shows two kinds of ads:
- Interstitial ads — full-screen ads shown at certain points in the game (for example, between missions).
- Rewarded ads — optional ads you can choose to watch in exchange for in-game rewards (such as reviving during a boss fight, doubling level rewards, or claiming daily free currency).
If you subscribe to the Monthly Ad-Free subscription, interstitial ads will not be shown to you while your subscription is active. Rewarded ads remain available because you choose whether to watch them.
Ads are served by Unity LevelPlay (Unity Technologies, including its mediation partners), which acts as our advertising partner. To deliver and measure ads, the ad network may collect:
- A device-level advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android)
- Your IP address (used to determine your approximate country / region)
- Coarse device information (model, operating system, language, screen size)
- Whether each ad was shown, viewed to completion, or clicked
Unity’s advertising privacy practices are described at https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy, which also covers the third-party mediation partners Unity may use to serve ads.
iOS — App Tracking Transparency. When you launch FasterBlaster on iOS, you will see Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt asking whether you allow the app to track you. If you decline, ads will still be shown but will not be personalized to you, and the advertising identifier (IDFA) will not be shared.
Android. You can reset or limit your Advertising ID at any time in Settings → Google → Ads on your device.
EU / UK / EEA users. If you are located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or the European Economic Area, you will see a consent prompt the first time you play, asking whether you agree to personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time from the in-game Field Manual screen.
We do not allow our ad partner to use your data for purposes outside of advertising in FasterBlaster, and we do not let advertisers contact you directly.
How long we keep your data
- Account and save data: retained for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete it (see below), we will delete it.
- Chat messages: retained for up to 6 hours, then automatically removed. All chat for a guild is deleted when the guild is dissolved.
- In-app purchase receipts: retained as long as required by Apple, Google, or applicable tax/consumer-protection law (typically several years) so we can resolve refund or fraud disputes.
- Crash logs: retained per Unity Cloud Diagnostics’ standard retention period.
- Gameplay events: retained per PlayFab’s standard retention period.
Your rights
You can:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Correct information we hold about you (such as your display name) — most of this you can change directly in the game.
To make a request, email MonkeyscabStudios@gmail.com from the device you play on, and include your in-game display name. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA respectively, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Security
We use the security measures provided by our service providers (PlayFab, Unity, Apple, Google) to protect your data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a security incident affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.
Changes to this policy
If we change this Privacy Policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top, and — for material changes — show a notice in the game the next time you launch it.
